In 2014 276 girls were kidnapped from a boarding school in Nigeria.
The world is equipped with the most powerful armies
The most impressive war machines
The most amazing technologies for warfare
And yet no one cared
No one save parents seemed to even blink about it
No one semed to take it too personal
It's just some random girls; after all
Too far away to matter to most people
But
What if these were your children?
What would you do if they were?
What would you do?
It's 2 years now
And still no one seems to care
No one that matters
No one that has the power to do things
Or so it seems
Have we all forgotten the power of one
of the communal one
That gains birth from a singular
one
Who believes enough
Who is willing to sacrifice enough
Sometimes one is enough
Sometimes more ones are needed
So let me ask you.
Are you one?
Or none
Absolutely none
Be one to something
Be one to someone
Bigger than you
Bigger than the ones you love alone
Be one for a cause that can change the world
Who better than you to do it?
I am compelled to write. It helps me digest and interpret my ruminations. Here I present them in complete truth.

"The answer my friend
Is blowing in the wind" - Bob Dylan
The fact that this song is just as appropriate now as it was 50 years ago.
Just proves that we haven't evolved
Science has evolved
Technology has evolved
Yet we as humans
Are the same selfish stupid defeated assholes
We've always been
Suckling at the feet
Of all the wrong things in life
Lust/untamed desire
Greed
Money
Power
Prestige
Acceptance from fools
False glory
When does it end?
When do we open our eyes
As a world
As a society
To the real glory
Of love
Of selflessness
Of godliness
Of sacrifice
Humility
Acceptance
And forgiveness
When do we allow ourselves
To love and be loved
Always
At all times
Don't let fear stop you
Don't let fear rule your life
Don't let the "monsters"
Steal your life
They will always be there
Fear
Anger
Desire
Betrayal
Despair
Until you finally decide
To just let it go
And find your peace of mind
Your true inner peace
