All within one week

Refugees
Immigrants
Fleeing war

Families
Children
Human beings

Imagine seeing these bodies
120 of them

Lifeless

Scattered about the shore

Have you ever seen 120 dead people?

I haven't. Thank God

But I don't have to

To feel pain

To feel deep sorrow

To feel the loss

The wretchedness of the situation

I don't know what I can do

I don't know how I can help

But dammit

I'm done turning a blind eye
