A lot of nice

"Normal"

Families

Friends

Loved ones

Waiting to see the people they care about. 

I agree that people should pay consequences

I simply feel that sometimes

Life has already handed them enough

Beforehand

It doesn't excuse the behavior. Though. Not one bit

But what is a jail

It's not a center of rehabilitation

Are you really getting to know these people

Getting to know how they got at where they got

And walking them back home

Through real rehabilitation

Real progress towards becoming a better human(e)

In the grand experience of life

Or are you just putting them all in a room together so they can learn each other's tricks, become even more jaded, be harmed and even possibly killed and then (if they're lucky; which most are) unleashing the back on the public. (Lol)
